About Us

You will meet four women who were teachers in a Northwest Indiana public school system, and who were thrust together during a citywide custodial strike. As a direct result of this event, a Christian organization, Gary Educators for Christ, evolved. We bonded, grew and became connecting threads, creating patterns that would have lasting impact. We have had various life experiences and have spent countless hours, over a span of over thirty years, praying individually and together. We met weekly through our membership in the organization which provided us the opportunity to pray together for our students, families, various government and world leaders and provide benevolent support to the community at large. We are all retired now and have hundreds of amazing stories and testimonies among us of how God never failed to meet us in the classroom of life with a lesson each day. It is our hope that the stories in this book will inspire and encourage you to live and experience life from a different perspective.
